I have found this section very well organised. The explanation of complex informations such as the structure of the Earth or the beginning of the universe could suppose a difficulty for students, but this selection of animated videos helps to teach these key terms and at the same time encourage students´ learning process throught
ResponderEliminaran interesting resource. Well done!
As my classmate Jorge has stated, this section definitely caught my attention. This topic has always been interesting to me, however, I am inclined to believe that the way of teaching it throughout my school years was a little bit theoretical. That is why this entry caught my eye. These videos are a really interactive, dynamic and fun technique to teach this complex content. The videos are both in spanish and english depending on the difficulty of the content you are teaching, because some of them are too abstract to understand it so showing them in spanish is a nice option.
ResponderEliminarAll in all, I want to say that these videos are an outstanding way to encourage and motivate children towards learning this topic. Great job!
As both of my classmates have said, it was impossible not to be attracted to this incredible section of the blog. The use of this kind of videos reminded me of how I learned at my school all this topics. I was very interested watching your blog as it shows how students can learn and gain knowledge in a different way, which is less theoretical and that doesn’t mean that the learning will be less effective. I myself have learned without textbooks and I personally can say that I don’t feel like I know less than my classmates who have learned in a more traditional way. Using this videos, the learning will be more interactive for the students, which will make them feel part of their own learning.
ResponderEliminarThe job this school has done and is doing is admirable. By doing this, you are helping other schools to follow this kind of education that helps students to be more motivated and encouraged in the learning. I just want to say, thank you for all the effort you are putting into creating a better place for the students to learn in.
First of all I want to say congratulation for the well organisation of this blog and for the job you all do in this school.
ResponderEliminarAbout this post I would say that I wish I have had the explanation of this unit this way. I think is funny and easy at the same time. Students can learn difficult contents watching videos and it will be less boring for them and more interesting.
Personally, I was never a fan of these contents, I seemed them very boring and I don’t want to study them, but these videos are exquisite! Those contents are difficult to understand, and I am sure that throughout these explanations the porcentage os successful learning will increase. The voice is similar to theirs, so it is an advantage to catch their attention, it is like a classmate explain them how the universe appears, how the movements of the Earth are...
ResponderEliminarWhen I was at my stage of Practicum I saw how pupils studied the structure of the Earth, and the differences between methodologies are radically opposite. I think these videos could be very useful if they are carried out in a class.
As some of my classmates, I want to comment in this part of the blog because in my opinion, these contents are the most difficult for some students, for example, in my case, it was.
ResponderEliminarI think the use of videos can make the subject easier to understand and funnier for the students, because they are using a visual resource, so it makes the subject more attractive for them. I think the videos are great, are easy to understand and they can learn a lot with them.
Congratulations, this blog can be used for other teachers, I think you're helping a lot of people with this blog.
Once I have had a look to some of the entries in this blog, I have to say that most of them are really interesting and useful. Also, as some of my classmates have already said, it is very well organised! I have chosen this entry basically because I think that some of these topics can be sometimes difficult to understand by the children. In fact, I can remember that when I was a child and I had to study it, it was really difficult. However, as my classmate Inés has mentioned before, through the videos in spanish, maybe the children are going to be able to understand these abstract topics in a better way. I think that use the mother tongue as a support is a really goof idea in this case.
ResponderEliminarOnce more, congratulations for this blog, I have found it a really interesting resource!
From my point of view these videos are a so good way to learning outside the traditional learning. It gives the opportunity to choose between several videos according to the level that students have.
ResponderEliminarPersonally I think the language and the speed it uses at which they speak in english is adequate. Their pictures are so funny and nice that it get the students' attention, although I think that some images, as it appears in the first video "natural and man made things" are not adequate to teach them to children, since they are not good actions carried out by man.
In conclusion, using videos for teaching is a different and motivating activity for today's students, since they increasingly need different activities that they like and make them want to learn. I like the idea that schools have a blog where they can share information and material that anyone who needs it can use, congratulations on that.
